God’s Pillow Hand-built, Porcelain, Glaze, Underglaze, Oxides, Engobes, 16po x 11po x 8po, 2014.
Clay lends itself to the way I built this work, folding in on itself with overlapping textures. A variety of glaze techniques and applications achieve the aerial perspective of the Montérégie landscape.
This artwork asks the viewer to see the surrounding area that we inhabit from a larger perspective, to appreciate the beauty and understand the fragility of our environment. The land is our natural resource and resting place.
